Dorsey Ridley is a candidate in the Nov. 8, 2022 election for Henderson Co. Judge Executive. A small businessman and economic development professional, Dorsey is the former Executive Director of Emerging Industries for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He is a former Kentucky State Senator (2004-2018) and has also served as Regional Business Development Director and as President of Independence Bank in Henderson.
Ridley is a graduate of Western Kentucky University, where he earned a degree in business and agriculture.
Ridley said, “After careful consideration and much encouragement from across the community, I’m proud to announce my candidacy for Judge Executive. Henderson Co. is my home and I know that, together, we can keep moving our community forward.”
He continued, “Having helped to secure the new Pratt Paper mill and passed legislation for the I-69 expansion, economic development and improved infrastructure will be top priorities for me if I’m elected as Judge Executive. I intend to run on my proven record of leadership, community accomplishments, and will deliver for Henderson County.”
A life-long resident of Western Kentucky, Dorsey and his wife, Glenn Hodge Ridley, have four adult children - Margaret, Martha, Sarah, and James. They have two granddaughters and are active members of the Henderson Presbyterian Church.
